Last Class for the Semester
as the last meeting for Semester 1! The feeling was undescribable, happy plus sad, but the exam was getting nearer (nervous). All of us looked so fresh and ready for today's lecture. Dr Fariza gave us our last assignment, regarding Microsoft Excel. I was exposed to Excel application before in my secondary school years. However, because of seldom application, my knowledge and skill on Microsoft Excel was slowly diminishing. I had to learn from the basic again, and glad that Dr Fariza was here to help me. Dr asked us to key in name, subject and grade in the Excel before proceeded with next instruction. After all of us completed, she then instructed us to create a grade table so that we could enter the grade in each column without difficulty. Besides that, we learnt on how to create graph in Excel on our own. Dr did not want to teach us beforehand, because she wanted her students to learn them individually first.
The class proceeded with presentation of our short movies. I was panicking because my group's video had technical problems with the sound and not well edited. Izza's group presented their short movie first and I could say that they did great in making the video. I was impressed by their creativity in editing as well as the storyline of their story about 21st Century Skill. I could grasp the meaningful lesson behind of the story, and it was well-presented. Kudos to Izza's group. The second group was Yennie's and their short story was not bad, but most of the story was taken from other source, not orginally from them. It was okay, frankly said. Hazman's group, on the other hand, presented powtoon presentation on their mini research topic. I noticed they had not completely done it, however it was the effort that count. Hilmi's group showed their short movie, and mostly they talked facts about Web 2.0 application. In my opinion, it was a good presentation but the lenghty talking and no actions made the movie quite boring to the viewers. I did not say that my group's movie was good, it was as the same as the others, needing lots of correction and editing to make it more enjoyable to watch. Dr Fariza had given her piece of mind about the presentation, and we all took it seriously. She also pointed out our mistakes and suggested how to correct them such as recording in a quiet place to avoid background noise. The class ended with happy faces and wonderful class photos with our beloved Dr Fariza Khalid! Together with a thoughtful present (Dr Fariza's exclusive book and pen) given by her. Thank you so much Dr. Lots of love from T1 group 2015!
